In 2010, Canadian blues guitarist, singer and songwriter Chris Antonik arrived onto the National and International blues scene with his self-titled debut album which received widespread critical acclaim, placed in the Roots Music Report Top 100 charts for over a year, and garnered Antonik a nomination for Best New Artist of the Year at Canada’s national Maple Blues Awards. After extensive touring and major blues festival appearances in Canada in 2011 and 2012, Chris now returns with his highly anticipated follow-up Better For You, scheduled for release on March 26, 2013. From March 22, 2013 – Monolith Sound
Here we go ladies and gentleman. Some fine Blues Rock for you right here. The Doug Prescott band have released their latest album called ‘Blues in the Key of Sea’. Imagine yourself out in the middle of nowhere….on some kind of substance, and you stumble upon a random bar. You walk inside and it’s filled with blue collared workers, beautiful women and the smell of fine whiskey wafts through the air. That’s what listening to this album is like. Good enough imagery for you?
48. Coyote Kings – Nasty Habits & Dirty Little Secrets – according to their website “the Coyote Kings are the hottest new Blues, Roots, and Rock band from the Great Pacific Northwest, USA!” We’ll see!
Coyote Kings w/Mush’s CD, NASTY HABITS & DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, dropped March 9th at the second annual WALLA WALLA GUITAR FESTIVAL. It’s already garnering critical acclaim and is currently in it’s second week at #1 Blues album on the Roots Music Report’s Washington State chart
So if you want to listen along find one of the albums, give it a listen and let me know what you think! Let’s go “Into the Morning” with “Blues in the Key of Sea” from the Doug Prescott Band
